Anyone fitting out trolleys, chassis or shelf carts for the ESD protected area needs casters that keep the structure tied into the grounding path and that stay put while work is going on. This swivel caster runs on a wheel of 125 mm diameter, the wheel centre is electrically conductive polyamide and the tread is moulded polyurethane. It is fitted through a central bolt hole with a mounting dimension of 11 mm.

Application

Typical use is on transport and shelf trolleys, material carts, chassis and workbenches inside an EPA, wherever populated assemblies are moved and the complete structure has to stay electrostatically controlled. The total lock is needed at handover, test and packing stations where the trolley must neither roll nor swivel during work. The range is supplied in the wheel diameters 75, 100 and 125 mm, so the casters of one chassis can be matched to a common overall height.
