Eight hours in a climate controlled production hall place different demands on a shoe than field service does. The FLASH 1800 therefore uses a high tech mesh upper and an aluminium toe cap. It stays ESD compliant, with person, shoe and floor resistance below 100 MOhm under the DIN EN 61340-5-1 measuring method.

What sets this model apart

  • Safety class S1 means a closed heel area, antistatic construction and an energy absorbing heel. No penetration barrier and no water repellent leather, which gives the lowest weight in the range. For dry indoor areas without puncture hazards that is exactly the right class.
  • alu-tec aluminium toe cap instead of steel. It shifts the centre of gravity towards the middle of the foot and behaves thermally neutral, so no cold bridge forms over the toes.
  • MESH UPPER with an open air texture. The fabric wraps the foot closely and lets air circulate, and together with the clima-stream concept of breathable upper, thermo regulating lining and Klima Komfort insole it keeps the foot climate stable across the shift.
  • MPU INNOFLEX system in the outsole with CLOUDZONE in the heel and DYNAMIC PLATES in the forefoot, backed by the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM of pressure relieving insole and responsive MPU foam.
  • Reinforced toe protection against abrasion during kneeling work, aktiv-X functional lining for moisture regulation. Slip resistance SRC.
  • Standard width 10 in the broad ATLAS fit, suitable for orthopaedic insoles under DGUV rule 112-191.

Applications

Electronics production and test areas, SMD lines, cleanroom staging, laboratories, light assembly, warehousing and order picking in climate controlled halls. Not intended for outdoor use, wet conditions or floors with puncture hazards, where the FLASH 1805 XP in S1P and the C 6505 XP in S3 apply instead.
