The ERGO-MED 1300 is an ESD safety low shoe in class S1 and width 13, and one of the few approved under DGUV 112-191 for orthopaedic modifications as well. The alu-tec aluminium toe cap withstands 200 joules and 15 kN to EN ISO 20345, and the dissipative MPU sole keeps resistance below 100 megohms by the person-shoe-floor method of DIN EN 61340-5-1.

Anyone who needs orthopaedic insoles or a modified sole finds a very short list in a safety shoe catalogue. The Atlas ERGO-MED 1300 is on it. Under DGUV 112-191 it is approved not only for insoles but also for sole and heel elevation, and it comes in four widths from 10 to 14. The ESD build to DIN EN 61340-5-1 leads the wearer's charge away in a controlled way, so no discharge reaches the assembly.

What the shoe delivers in an EPA

  • Charge dissipation to DIN EN 61340-5-1. By the person-shoe-floor method Atlas guarantees less than 100 megohms, the figure DIN EN 61340-5-1 calls for inside an EPA. The plain antistatic requirement of EN ISO 20345 allows anything between 100 kilohms and 1000 megohms. Anyone handling assemblies needs the tighter figure.
  • Safety class S1 in plain words. Closed seat region, antistatic construction, energy absorbing heel area and a protective toe cap.
  • Toe protection with an alu-tec aluminium toe cap. The cap is tested to EN ISO 20345 for 200 joules of impact energy and 15 kN of compression. The carbon fibre bumper above it absorbs the abrasion that hits the toe area first during kneeling work.
  • Approved for orthopaedic modifications. Unlike most safety shoes the ERGO-MED 1300 is certified under DGUV 112-191 for sole and heel elevation as well. That saves the case by case assessment when an employee needs a modification.
  • Fit in width 13. Width 13 is one of the two special widths in this range and goes beyond the extra wide width 12.
  • MPU INNOFLEX sole with a CLOUDZONE in the heel. The multifunctional polyurethane midsole takes up the impact in the heel area and returns part of the energy into the next step. Slip resistance SRC, the top level of the previous classification.
  • Mesh upper and aktiv-X functional lining. The fabric lets air reach the foot, the lining regulates moisture actively, does not bleed colour. The clima-stream concept handles the air exchange inside the shoe.
  • Orthopaedic insoles to DGUV 112-191. The shoe is released for swapping the footbed for an orthopaedic insole without voiding the type examination.
