In warm production halls, foot protection is decided early on: either it is worn through the whole shift or it ends up in a corner. The GX 350 black 2.0 ESD is an ESD compliant safety sandal for women in protection class S1 to EN ISO 20345:2012. Its steel toe cap withstands at least 200 joules of impact energy and 15 kN of compression, while the open construction and the air-permeable SportLine fabric keep the foot cool. It comes in standard width 10, which ATLAS builds wide and foot-friendly from the outset.

What sets this model apart

• Controlled charge dissipation. The shoe is ESD compliant. Measured by the person-shoe-floor method of DIN EN 61340-5-1, ATLAS guarantees a resistance below 100 MOhm for its ESD footwear. The footwear standard EN ISO 20345 by contrast allows anything between 0.1 and 1,000 MOhm for antistatic shoes and contains no ESD test at all. That tightening is what decides whether a component survives the walk from bench to machine. The lower limit of 0.1 MOhm required by DGUV rule 112-191 is respected, so limited protection against dangerous body currents at work up to 230 V remains in place.
• S1 in plain words. Closed heel area, antistatic construction, energy-absorbing heel region and a fuel-resistant outsole. Penetration resistance is not part of it, and the open sandal design is meant for areas free of moisture and sharp-edged debris on the floor.
• Steel toe cap with tested figures. The anatomically shaped steel toe cap protects the toe area against impact of at least 200 joules and compression of at least 15 kN to EN ISO 20345:2012. That is the full toe protection of a safety shoe, in a model that still lets air reach the foot.
• SportLine upper for warm halls. The textile fabric is highly air-permeable and hydrophobic at the same time, so it repels water, dries quickly and takes wear. Together with the aktiv-X functional lining and the Klima Komfort insole it forms the clima-stream concept, which balances moisture inside the shoe.
• Sporty-Light sole to WOMEN'S FIT. The outsole was developed for women's feet, with a soft footbed, high flexibility and a CLOUDZONE in the heel. The lamella profile of the GRIP-SEGMENTS delivers slip resistance SRC, tested on ceramic with detergent and on steel with glycerine. The 3D cushioning system with a pressure-relieving insole and responsive MPU technology completes the walking comfort.
• Standard width 10, built deliberately wide. ATLAS already cuts the standard width to a foot-friendly last, so the toe box stays free. Anyone still feeling pressure will find the same model in widths 12, 13 and 14 of the multi-width system, with identical sole, toe cap and protection class.

For wet environments, outdoor work or floors with sharp objects, a closed model in S2 or S3 is the better choice.
