ESD safety sandal RUNNER 145 S1P, mesh upper, steel toe cap, black and white - Atlas 27400

In warm production halls, ventilation decides whether a safety shoe is still comfortable in the eighth hour. The RUNNER 145 is the open sandal form of the Atlas RUNNER series: an air-textured mesh upper, a steel toe cap rated for 200 joules to EN ISO 20345, a metal-free aramid penetration barrier and a sole that grounds the wearer to DIN EN 61340-5-1.

What the model delivers

• Dissipative to DIN EN 61340-5-1. The sole ties the wearer into the personnel grounding system of the EPA. ESD shoes keep the through resistance below 100 MOhm with a lower limit of 0.1 MOhm, so the charge drains in a controlled way and no component fails on the walk to the machine.
• Safety class S1P in plain words. S1 means a closed heel cap, antistatic behaviour and an energy-absorbing heel area. The P stands for penetration resistance against nails and swarf. A water-repellent upper is not part of S1P, so this sandal is meant for dry indoor areas.
• Steel toe cap with documented test values. The anatomically shaped cap protects the toes against at least 200 joules of impact energy and at least 15 kN of compression to EN ISO 20345, backed by an additional toe protector against abrasion during kneeling work.
• XP penetration barrier of aramid instead of a steel insert. Metal-free, very light, covering the full sole area and following the torsion of the foot, without setting off metal detectors.
• Air-textured mesh upper with aktiv-X functional lining. The fabric wraps the foot closely and lets air circulate, while the lining regulates moisture, dries quickly, does not stain and resists abrasion.
• SPORTY sole system with a soft bed, standard width 10 on the broad Atlas last. Suitable for orthopaedic insoles to DGUV rule 112-191.

Applications

Electronics manufacturing and placement, test and repair benches, final assembly, light assembly, warehousing and order picking as well as zones with metal detection. For wet work, outdoor use and cold halls a closed S3 model is the better choice.
