During ultrasonic operation, nothing may be placed on the bottom of the tank, as abrasion may occur between the material to be sonicated and the ultrasonic oscillating tank. It is therefore recommended to use a suitable basket to hold the sonication material. The BANDELIN baskets are designed in such a way that the material to be sonicated is always in the optimum area of the cavitation field (1-2 cm from the floor) in the oscillating tank. With the help of a basket, the sonication material can also be conveniently placed in the unit and removed after operation, e.g. for rinsing, without the user coming into contact with the sonication fluid in the oscillating tank.
