Foil Test Frame for Aluminium Foil Test per IEC 886 - Bandelin Sonorex FT 37

The Sonorex FT 37 foil test frame is used to perform the aluminium foil test per IEC 886. A clamped aluminium foil is perforated by cavitation, making the intensity and distribution of cavitation inside the ultrasonic cleaner visible.

Applications

The foil test is recommended at first commissioning and at regular intervals afterwards, for example quarterly. The perforated areas of several foils should show roughly the same extent and distribution; they are never identical. This allows continuous monitoring of the cleaning process. The frame size depends on the tank dimensions of the ultrasonic cleaner.
