The pressure wave sensor is part of the mechanical collision protection for height-adjustable workstations built with Bosch Rexroth lift modules. It is used together with the pressure wave control strip and connects to the lift module control unit.
As soon as light pressure is applied to the pressure wave control strip, the sensor sends a signal to the control unit and the lift modules reverse a few millimetres. This reliably protects people and components.
