Quick connect coupling Cube Cupla SPC-06PH, POM - Nitto Kohki 599864643

Air and water lines inside tightly packed equipment need a coupling that connects without tools and without a turning movement. Cube Cupla is moulded from polyacetal (POM), works up to 1.0 MPa, weighs from 1.5 g and locks by pushing the plug straight into the socket.

• Working pressure of 1.0 MPa (10 bar, 145 PSI) on air and water, plus vacuum service down to 53.0 kPa
• Polyacetal (POM) body instead of metal keeps the mass between 1.5 g for the SPC-10PM-VL plug and 7.0 g for the SPC-06SH socket

Series comparison

Choose CUBE CUPLA when the line runs at up to 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} and the shut-off behaviour has to be selected: valved and valveless sockets and plugs give two-way shut-off, one-way shut-off or straight through within one series, whereas MICRO CUPLA, SMALL CUPLA and SUPER CUPLA are one-way shut-off only and COMPACT CUPLA is two-way shut-off only. The polyacetal resin (POM) body covers water as well as air, and the five body colors keep lines apart that would otherwise be confused. For air lines rated 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2} such as HI CUPLA 200, FULL BLOW CUPLA or LINE CUPLA 200, or for the straight through LEVER LOCK CUPLA in large sizes, CUBE CUPLA is not the right choice.

Compatibility

Cube Cupla plugs and sockets of the same type connect to each other whatever end configuration they carry. A socket with a built-in valve must not be paired with a valveless -VL plug, because the socket valve stays closed and no fluid passes.

Standards and compliance

The POM body and the NBR O-ring have passed the material and elution tests of the Japanese Food Sanitation Act (Notice No. 370 of 1959), the sealing area is lubricated with silicone grease registered to NSF H1 and NSF 61, and the products comply with the RoHS Directive.

Safety and application notes

• Do not use in the combination of valved sockets and valveless plugs. The valve in the socket will not open and the fluid will not flow.
• Note: When disconnected, the fluid from the valveless side will flow out. Take care if the fluid is water.
• Evaluation shall be made by the customer before use to determine the suitability with applications that require sanitation control.
