Screws, passive components and other small parts move through the EPA between stores, assembly and test, and their packaging must not build up charge on its own. Desco open bags made of pink polyethylene with antistatic additive come in sizes from 100 x 150 to 610 x 915 mm. Inner and outer surface resistance is 1 x 10⁵ to < 1 x 10¹¹ ohms, while the film stays transparent.

Applications

Intimate-contact packaging for parts inside the EPA, such as passive components, screws, cables or assembly hardware, and packaging for non-ESD-sensitive items destined for use in the EPA. Transport and storage of ESD sensitive devices outside the EPA additionally require shielding packaging such as a shielding bag.

Surface resistance tested per IEC 61340-2-3. ESD protective symbol per IEC 61340-5-1. RoHS 2 and REACH compliant. The antistatic properties last when the film is stored cool and dry, avoid heat and outdoor storage.
