Not every ESD workstation calls for a smock, yet everyday clothing remains a source of electrostatic fields. Desco ESD polo shirts replace the personal top. The dissipative knit of cotton, polyester and 3 % conductive fibres reaches a point-to-point resistance of 1 x 10⁶ to < 1 x 10⁸ ohms and meets the garment limits of IEC 61340-5-1. It wears like a regular polo and stays effective after more than 40 industrial launderings.

Applications

ESD garment for assembly, test, stores and laboratories, and for areas where a smock is too warm or impractical. Measurements apply before washing, the shirt shrinks by 8 to 10 % after the first wash, so choose one size up if in doubt. Use a neutral detergent, the conductive fibres do not tolerate fabric softener, bleach or dry cleaning.
