Adjustable Elastic Wristband, 10 mm Stud, Light Blue - Desco 229980

Anyone seated at an ESD workstation needs to be grounded through a wrist strap. This light blue elastic band has conductive fibres on the inside that make skin contact below 1 x 10⁵ ohms surface resistance, and it has no metal backplate at all, so wearers with skin allergies can use it too.

Applications

Personnel grounding at seated ESD workstations in electronics assembly, repair and laboratories. The band connects to a ground point through a coiled cord with a 1 megohm current-limiting resistor.

Standards

Designed for use with a coiled cord containing a 1 megohm current-limiting resistor that meets the IEC 61340-5-1 personnel grounding requirements, tested per ANSI/ESD S1.1. Test the complete system of person, band and cord regularly, ideally at the start of each shift with a wrist strap tester.
