Ordinary polyethylene refuse bags charge strongly when fitted and removed and create electrostatic fields right at the workstation. These antistatic waste bags are non-tribocharging and stay low-charging even at low humidity: they charge to less than 100 V and the decay time is under 4 s. The red colour allows waste streams to be separated, and the black print with the ESD protective symbol marks them as suitable for ESD areas.
