ESD Worksurface Mat Statfree Z2, 3-Layer, Blue, 3.2 mm, Roll 0.76 x 15.2 m - Desco 42516

An ESD worksurface has to drain charges from parts placed on it in a controlled way, without discharging too fast. Statfree Z2 is a heat-fused 3-layer vinyl mat with dissipative top and bottom layers and a conductive grid mesh in between. Rg and Rp-p measure 1 x 10⁶ to < 1 x 10⁸ ohms. This blue roll measures 0.76 x 15.2 m at 3.2 mm thickness and can be cut to cover several workstations.

Applications

Covering for ESD workbenches and shelves in electronics production, repair, laboratories and test areas. The roll is cut to the required length. Let the material relax for at least 4 hours before cutting and trim with a sharp knife.

Standards

Meets the worksurface limit of EN 61340-5-1 as well as ANSI/ESD S20.20 and the recommendation of ANSI/ESD S4.1. Verify Rg periodically with a surface resistance meter per EN 61340-5-1. Where the mat does not sit on a grounded surface, grounding hardware is required. Never daisy-chain mats to ground.
