Where ESD gloves or finger cots are worn to prevent CDM damage, the path to ground must be tested with the gloves on. A standard wrist strap contact is hardly suited for that. The 50755 test fixture provides a large stainless steel electrode for this purpose. When the operator grips the electrode, an infrared sensor activates the measurement and overrides the test switch on the personnel tester.
