For switching work with limited short-circuit power, class 1 is often sufficient. The HB-MODarc blouson is rated for a 4 kA test current and uses a single layer of 55 % modacrylic, 43 % cotton and 2 % carbon. That saves weight and heat compared with the lined class 2 version.

Applications

Electricians during switching and testing on low-voltage distribution boards, maintenance in industry and building services. Wear together with the HB-MODarc trousers class 1. For higher short-circuit power the two-layer class 2 (7 kA) is available.

Standards and compliance

The 4 kA designation corresponds to class 1 in the box test to IEC 61482-1-2. Standard pictograms are embroidered on the garment. Not an ESD item, not intended for EPA areas.
