An electric arc releases enormous heat within milliseconds. The HB-MODarc blouson is rated class 2, meaning a test current of 7 kA, and is built in two layers: outer fabric of 55 % modacrylic, 43 % cotton and 2 % carbon, lining of 79 % aramid, 20 % viscose and 1 % carbon.

The 7 kA class designation corresponds to the box test classification to IEC 61482-1-2. Standard pictograms are embroidered on the garment. Not an ESD item, not intended for EPA areas.
