The TW socket receives the plug and also closes automatically on disconnection. The body is steel and the seal is NBR. The rear end is a hose barb, a male thread or a female thread depending on the model. Model TW-20SF, steel, Seal material NBR.
Quick connect coupling HI Cupla 2 way type TW-20SF, steel - Nitto Kohki 493102500
When a line is broken, the fluid should stay in both halves of it. The Nitto Kohki HI Cupla 2 way type is the TW socket range with two-way shut-off, built in steel with an NBR seal.
Two-way shut-off, socket and plug each close their own half of the line on disconnection
Steel body across the whole range
NBR as the sealing material on every model
Three sizes within the TW model range, marked 20, 30 and 40
Three end configurations per size, hose barb marked SH, male thread marked SM and female thread marked SF
RT Type (for two branch lines): inlet HI CUPLA Plug 20PF, outlet 2 sockets for HI CUPLA Socket Model 20. RE Type (for three branch lines): inlet R 1/2, outlet 3 sockets for HI CUPLA Socket Model 20.
One-way shut-off
Air
Pick HI CUPLA Two Way Type when compressed air at up to 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2} has to flow from either side once socket and plug are coupled, and the plugs already installed are HI CUPLA models 10, 17, 20, 30 or 40. HI CUPLA BL, NUT CUPLA, LOCK CUPLA 200, ROTARY LINE CUPLA, ROTARY FULL BLOW LINE CUPLA and ROTARY PLUG cover the same 1.5 MPa but are listed as one-way shut-off, while PURGE LINE CUPLA and TWIST PLUG stop at 1.0 MPa. Where the requirement is instead to hold the medium in both halves on disconnection, COMPACT ZEROSPILL CUPLA with its two-way shut-off at 1.0 MPa is the series to look at.
