Changing tools on an air line several times a shift means lifting the weight of the coupling every time. The Nitto Kohki HI Cupla Ace is made of engineering plastics (PBT, POM) and weighs a quarter of the steel HI Cupla, while still working up to 1.5 MPa.

• Engineering plastic body (PBT, POM) at a quarter of the weight of the steel version, a plug weighs 3 g to 17 g depending on the end configuration
• Working pressure up to 1.5 MPa, so the rating matches the steel couplings of the range
• Built-in automatic lock holds the sleeve once the connection is made and prevents accidental disconnection

Series comparison

Pick HI CUPLA ACE for air lines that need the 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2} class together with a plastic body at a quarter of the weight of steel HI CUPLA and a sleeve lock against accidental disconnection; plastic plugs and Model HA-T stay at 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2}. MICRO CUPLA, SMALL CUPLA, SUPER CUPLA, COMPACT CUPLA and CUBE CUPLA are rated 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} and come into question only where that lower pressure is sufficient, and COMPACT CUPLA and CUBE CUPLA where shut-off on both sides is required instead of the one-way shut-off of HI CUPLA ACE. Where the same 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2} is needed in metal, HI CUPLA, HI CUPLA 200, FULL BLOW CUPLA and LINE CUPLA 200 remain available; HI CUPLA ACE is interchangeable with HI CUPLA models 10, 17, 20, 30, 40 and 60.

Compatibility

The range connects with HI Cupla models 10, 17, 20, 30 and 40 and is interchangeable with the Nut Cupla series and the HI Cupla series, except models 400, 600 and 800. Air flows in either direction once coupled, and the range is not suitable for vacuum in either the connected or the disconnected state.

Standards and compliance

End connections use Rc 1/4, Rc 3/8, R 1/4, R 3/8 and G 1/4 threads, the sealing material is nitrile rubber (NBR, marked SG).
