Quick connect coupling HSP DC Cupla 6HS-DC, steel - Nitto Kohki 369821610

Hydraulic pressure on a die casting machine swings hard, and every line that is opened in service has to take it. HSP DC Cupla is the HSP Cupla version for die casting applications with severe pressure variation and works in port sizes 1/4 inch to 1 inch at 20.6 MPa working pressure.

• Working pressure of 20.6 MPa in port sizes 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch and 1 inch, which covers the range of common hydraulic power units.
• Quenched special steel body with nickel plating, built to take vibration, impact and pressure impulses.
• Automatic shut-off valves in both socket and plug keep the hydraulic oil in the line on disconnection and keep the workplace clean.
• Nitrile rubber NBR as the standard seal for -20 °C to +80 °C, fluoro rubber FKM available on request for -20 °C to +180 °C.
• Minimum cross-sectional area from 21 mm2 in size 2 up to 203 mm2 in size 8, and the low pressure loss curve suits hydraulic oil of 32 x 10-6 m2/s viscosity.
• Once coupled, fluid may flow in either direction, so the mounting orientation is free.

Operating principle

• How to distinguish from HSP CUPLA: the DC mark is engraved on the flat part of the plug and the flat part of the socket to distinguish from HSP CUPLA.

Series comparison

Pick HSP-DC CUPLA when the line carries hydraulic oil at up to 20.6 MPa {210 kgf/cm2}; every sibling series listed in this group is rated at 1.0 to 1.5 MPa {10 to 15 kgf/cm2} and is not usable at that level. Of those siblings only COMPACT ZEROSPILL CUPLA also shuts off on both sides, and it does so at 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2}, while HI CUPLA BL, NUT CUPLA, LOCK CUPLA 200, HI CUPLA Two Way Type, PURGE HI CUPLA, PURGE LINE CUPLA and the ROTARY models are one-way shut-off. Where 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2} is sufficient and a one-way shut-off is acceptable, one of those series is the simpler choice.

Compatibility

4HSP connects with 6HSP and 10HSP with 12HSP, other combinations of different sizes are not connectable. There is no interchangeability between HSP Cupla and 210 Cupla or 280 Cupla, even where sizes look similar.
