On the 106R the capacitor sits in the cooling air zone, so dust settles there quickly. A cover that has cracked or gone missing after a repair leaves terminals exposed and speeds up contamination. The genuine K1042 cover restores the closed condition.

Application
Ordering it together with capacitor kit K1041 completes the service call in one pass. In cabinet units with limited air exchange it also pays to check the intake filter, for which kit K1038 is intended.
