Capacitor Service Kit for 106R Compressor Pump - Jun-Air K1041

The 106R runs on a 230 V single-phase supply and needs its capacitor for starting torque. Over the years the component loses capacitance and the motor no longer comes up cleanly against residual system pressure. The usual signs are humming, high starting current and a thermal protector that trips. The genuine K1041 service kit returns starting behaviour to its original condition.

Compatibility

For the 106R pump in both the 8 bar and the 12 bar version, and for the units 106R-25B, 2x106R-40B, 106R-25BQ2, 106R-25M, 2x106R-40M, 106R-25MQ2 and 2x106R-40MQ2. The matching cover is K1042.

Application

Isolate the machine and discharge the capacitor before replacement. If the fault returns, check the unloader valve at the pressure switch, because starting against full tank pressure stresses a new capacitor exactly as it stressed the old one.
