Hose lines carrying water, compressed air, hydraulic oil or steam that are opened several times a shift lose time at every threaded joint. Lever Lock Cupla from Nitto Kohki joins plug and socket with a light pull on the lever and works at 0.7 to 1.8 MPa in sizes from 3/4 to 4 inch.
- Straight through valve-less body keeps the bore clear, which suits bulk flow duties at working pressures of 0.7 to 1.8 MPa
- End-face seal without steps or recesses in the fluid passage lets the medium pass the coupled pair without disturbance
- A special lip packing lowers the force needed at the lever, except on sizes 3/4 and 1 inch and on silicone or FEP-covered silicone seals
- Seal materials to match the temperature: NBR from -20 to +80 °C, EPDM and silicone from -40 to +150 °C, FKM from -20 to +180 °C
- Metal bodies in aluminium alloy, copper alloy or stainless steel, plastic bodies in polypropylene for water or air at 0.2 to 0.5 MPa
- Metal versions stay operational under vacuum down to 53.0 kPa while connected, plastic versions are not suitable for vacuum service

Choose LEVER LOCK CUPLA when the line is 3/4 inch or larger and the duty needs an unobstructed, valve-less passage; the sibling series of this category are rated 1.0 to 1.5 MPa {10 to 15 kgf/cm2} and all carry shut-off valves. The metal body version reaches 1.8 MPa {18 kgf/cm2} from 3/4 inch to 2 inch, above MICRO CUPLA, SMALL CUPLA, COMPACT CUPLA, CUBE CUPLA, SUPER CUPLA, HI CUPLA, HI CUPLA 200, FULL BLOW CUPLA, LINE CUPLA 200 and HI CUPLA ACE, while the plastic body version is limited to 0.5 MPa {5 kgf/cm2} or 0.2 MPa {2 kgf/cm2}. Where the line has to shut off on disconnection, one of the valved sibling series is the better choice; CUBE CUPLA also offers a straight through combination at 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2}.

Compatibility
Sockets and plugs of the same size mate regardless of their end configuration, so a hose barb can be paired with a female or male thread end. Once coupled, fluid may flow from either the plug side or the socket side.
