In cleanroom ante areas, at final inspection and wherever customers are walked through production, clothing forms part of the evidence. White shows every mark straight away, and that is the point. What is visible gets changed before it ends up on an assembly.
The electrical side comes with it. The fabric of 48 percent cotton and 48 percent polyester carries 4 percent conductive yarn that drains charge across the surface. Surface resistance measured at STFI lies between 10⁵ and 10⁷ ohms. At 170 g/m² the trousers stay comfortable to wear even in air conditioned test rooms.
Cutting, sample making, sewing and packing run under one continuous quality control, so cut and stitching stay identical across a series. Delivery comes from our own warehouse, smaller quantities included.
Your benefits
- Contamination shows immediately: On white cloth the first splash of flux is visible instead of building up unnoticed over days. In ante areas with particle requirements this is the simplest control there is.
- Tested 10⁵ to 10⁷ ohms: The figure comes from STFI testing to DIN EN 61340-5-1:2016 at 23 degrees Celsius and 25 percent humidity, in other words under dry and therefore unfavourable conditions.
- Low lint compact yarn: Compact spun cotton releases very few fibre ends. Areas that call for white clothing usually call for particle control as well, and the fabric works towards that requirement.
- Back pocket with press stud flap: Test records, ID cards or batch tickets stay closed in the pocket. Nothing falls out when the operator bends over the test set and slides under the equipment.
- Comfort waistband with side elastic: The waistband moves along when the wearer switches between sitting at the measuring bench and standing at the test station. Nothing presses after eight hours.
- Built for industrial laundry: White workwear goes to the laundry more often than dark. The polyester share holds the shape over many cycles and the conductivity of the woven yarn is retained.
Construction in detail
A zip fly closes the front, and the comfort waistband with side elastic adapts to the posture. Two side pockets take a hand or a probe, at the back sits one pocket with a press stud flap. On the right there is a double rule pocket that keeps a folding rule and a slim tool apart. The ESD logo makes the garment recognisable as part of the dissipative clothing set.

Material and fabric
The base is lint free compact cotton yarn with a polyester blend. The 48 to 48 percent ratio combines the moisture uptake of cotton with the dimensional stability of polyester, plus 4 percent conductive yarn. At 170 g/m² the cloth sits in the middle range for work trousers, noticeably lighter than a heavy trade trouser and far more stable than light summer fabric.
- 48 percent cotton, 48 percent polyester, 4 percent conductive yarn
- Fabric weight 170 g/m²
- Lint free compact cotton yarn
- Conductive yarn woven across the entire surface
Lasting dissipation and wash resistance
The dissipative effect comes from the yarn, not from a coating. High grade silver yarn is processed in a method developed in house that binds the conductive thread into the weave, and the conductivity is retained after repeated washing and wearing. For white trousers with a high wash frequency this is the decisive property.
Fit and size range
Delivery is in continental waist sizes 40 to 64 in steps of two rather than letter sizes. A whole shift can be fitted out without falling back on special sizes. Exact measurements are listed in the size chart, available as a PDF in the downloads tab of this page.
White on the shop floor
White belongs where cleanliness has to be demonstrated: cleanroom ante areas, final inspection, medical and laboratory technology, training and visitor zones inside an EPA. The light shade also sets off small dark parts that drop into the lap, which makes an escaped SMD component easier to find. As a base under coloured tops it stays neutral.

- Measuring and calibration rooms with dissipative flooring
Care and service life
The trousers are suitable for industrial laundry, which is decisive for white workwear that is changed often. The polyester share keeps seams, waistband and leg length dimensionally stable over many cycles, and the conductivity of the woven silver yarn is retained. Care instructions are printed on the sewn in label.
Finishing and custom versions
Company logos and names can be embroidered or printed up to 160 °C, with a sample print recommended beforehand. Dark motifs carry particularly well on white. A cargo pocket with a mobile phone compartment and further equipment options are made to order on request, as are colours outside the catalogue range. Ask us for a quotation.
Standards and testing
Testing took place at STFI for dissipation and surface resistance to DIN EN 61340-5-1:2016, with a result of 10⁵ to 10⁷ ohms at 23 (+/- 1) °C and 25 (+/- 5) percent relative humidity. Further ESD standards form the context of an EPA concept, but no certification of these trousers against them exists.
