The plug in this series is made of steel and carries no seal of its own. That lets it survive rough handling at the bench and constant plugging in and out. It goes on the moving side of the line. Model S225PH, steel.
Quick connect coupling Mini Cupla Super S225PH, steel - Nitto Kohki 333225600
Mini Cupla Super keeps the small Mini Cupla format and pairs it with steel plugs. Brass sockets with an NBR seal and steel plugs give a connection that tolerates frequent coupling.
Steel plugs stand up better to wear from repeated connecting and disconnecting
Brass sockets with NBR seal, so the plug needs no seal of its own
Connect and disconnect by hand, with no tools
Small format for devices and benches with limited installation space
Model codes carry a leading S for the Super version, which keeps stock identification clear

Operating principle
On disconnection the valve in the socket closes the supply line. The fluid left in the plug escapes.
From cylinders to torches, all piping connections associated with welding and cutting equipment are push-to-connect operations.
Plated body for better corrosion resistance.
Heat-treated plugs for better durability.
Oxygen and fuel gas CUPLA have different configuration sizes with sleeves in different appearances, silver colored plating for oxygen and copper colored plating for fuel gas, to prevent accidental interconnection.
Smaller diameter design enables wider range of applications.
Various types of end configurations have been standardized to comply with a wide range of welding and cutting equipment applications. Sockets themselves or plugs themselves are interchangeable with MINI CUPLA's counterparts.
Push-to-connect operation (built-in automatic shut-off valve in socket).
Heat-treated steel plugs for increased durability.

Pick MINI CUPLA SUPER when the line carries oxygen or fuel gas on welding and cutting equipment and the two media must not be joined by accident, which the separate S22 and S33 sizes with their differently plated sleeves prevent. Its working pressure of 0.7 MPa {7 kgf/cm2} is below that of the one-way shut-off siblings HI CUPLA BL, NUT CUPLA, LOCK CUPLA 200, HI CUPLA Two Way Type, ROTARY LINE CUPLA, ROTARY FULL BLOW LINE CUPLA and ROTARY PLUG at 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2} and of PURGE LINE CUPLA at 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2}, so those remain the choice for higher line pressures. Where the concern is spill on disconnection rather than keeping two media apart, the two-way shut-off COMPACT ZEROSPILL CUPLA at 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} applies instead.

Safety and application notes
To prevent accidental connection, CUPLA for oxygen are not interchangeable with CUPLA for fuel gas.
Fluid must run from socket to plug.
Not suitable for vacuum application in either connected or disconnected condition.
The operable temperature range depends on the operating conditions.
Before use, please be sure to read 'Safety Guide' described at the end of this book and 'Instruction Sheet' that comes with the products.
