SOT-89 packages carry a wide tab that draws away a lot of heat. The 2.8 mm tip delivers heat to all terminals at the same time. It fits the TD-100 and TD-100A Tip-Heater Cartridge soldering irons, with temperature control handled by the IntelliHeat station.
