FAQ
- Which tip fits which handpiece?
- Part numbers 1130-10xx are for the MT-200, 1124-10xx for the MT-100 and 1124-20xx for the TP-100. Blade and package tips are available for the TD-100 and for the TD-200, the product name states which.
- When to use thermal tweezers and when a removal tip on the iron?
- The MiniTweez grips the part from two sides and suits chips, SOT, SOIC and D-Pak. For PLCC and QFP with leads on four sides, package-specific tips for TD-100, TD-200 or TP-100 are intended.
- What does footprint mean on tips for the TP-100?
- Besides the body size, such as 14 x 14 mm, the footprint gives the dimension across the leads. Tips for the same body size are therefore offered with different footprints, for example 3.2 or 3.9 mm.
- Can these tips also be used to solder parts back in?
- The tips in this category are designed for removal. For soldering individual leads, use the soldering tips for TD-100, TD-200 and PS-90 in the neighbouring categories.
