Soldering QFP or SOIC lead rows pin by pin takes time and gives uneven joints. The MiniWave tip 1128-0032 carries a bead of solder in its 2.8 mm wide well, wetting each lead evenly as it is drawn along the row and picking up excess solder on the way.
