Pneumatic needle scaler JEX-2800A, 3.700 min-1 - Nitto Kohki 60500100

These air-driven needle scalers strip rust, mill scale, weld slag and aged coatings from steel at stroke rates of 4.000 to 6.000 min-1. Each needle moves on its own, so the bundle follows edges, profiles and weld seams instead of skipping over them.

• Stroke rates of 4.000 to 6.000 min-1 keep material removal quick on rust, mill scale and weld slag.
• Every needle retracts individually, so the bundle reaches edges, corners and profiles without any change of tooling.
• Operating weights of 0,8 to 3,5 kg allow single-handed and overhead work depending on the size chosen.
• Air demand of 0,07 to 0,43 m³/min stays low, and the smaller models run on existing workshop compressors.
• Needle sets in 2, 3 and 4 mm diameter and 150 or 180 mm length can be matched to the workpiece and the removal rate required.
• A bushing and a hose nipple are supplied, so the tool is ready to connect without extra parts.

Operating principle

An air-driven piston strikes a bundle of loose needles, which transfer each blow to the surface individually. Because every needle retracts on its own, the bundle adapts to the contour of the workpiece.
