The PD 400 precision lathe is built for machining steel, brass, aluminium and plastic. It performs face, straight and taper turning and thread cutting, and with the extensive system accessories you can also drill, mill and slot.

• Safety: main switch with auto-start protection and emergency off, chuck guard with safety shutdown.
• Stable bed: cross-braced cast iron bed with ground prism slides for vibration-free work.
• Precise chuck: 3-jaw chuck to DIN 6386 Class 1, concentricity tolerance 0.04 mm, capacity through reversing jaws 3 to 100 mm.
• Variable drive: capacitor motor for two speeds plus a three-stage belt drive, spindle speeds 80 to 2,800 rpm.
• Sensitive infeed: handwheels with zero-reset scale ring, cross slide 1 division = 0.025 mm.
• Automatic feed: optionally 0.07 or 0.14 mm per revolution.
