A chisel edge meets the joint on a line, a wedge face lies down beside it. The QU911G-20DV2 uses that bevel at 2.0 mm width and 0.8 mm thickness, heat travels through the sloped face into pad and lead, and the robot can draw the tip along a pin row instead of stabbing every joint on its own.

What the wedge shape changes

• Bevelled working face instead of a narrow edge, more contact on pad and lead at the same tip width.
• Width of 2.0 mm, matched to connector pins and through-hole leads on common pitches.
• Thickness of 0.8 mm, so the tip stays slim enough for closely spaced lead rows.
• Straight design, which keeps the approach dimension unchanged when swapping within the series.
• QU911G series, laid out for repeatable joints and long service life in continuous running.
• RoHS compliant and usable without restriction in lead free series processes.

For the 9018M and 9018BMT robot soldering tools and the machines they equip, the QUICK ET9181 SEMI-AUTO with wire feeder, the 9594FYA and 9584EYA with two tables, the ET9494E and ET9494F-A and further models of the range. The same wedge shape one size up is the QU911G-30DV2-01 at 3.0 x 1.0 mm, while the plain chisel of equal width is the QU911G-20D-08. Scope of delivery: one soldering tip.
