On ground connections, terminals and heavy stranded wire a thin edge loses temperature before the solder flows. The QU911G-40D counters with a 4.0 mm edge and 1.5 mm of material thickness, which puts almost twice as much material behind the contact face as on the 0.8 mm tips of the series.

What the tip does

• Edge width of 4.0 mm, the largest contact area in the range for ground planes, terminals and heavier lead wires.
• Material thickness of 1.5 mm, the heat reserve behind the edge holds temperature even when joints follow each other closely.
• Chisel form, so heat enters pad and lead across an area rather than at a point.
• Straight design, the approach dimension matches the other straight tips of the series.
• QU911G series, laid out for repeatable joints and long service life in continuous production.
• RoHS compliant and suited to lead free alloys with their higher temperature demand.

Application and compatibility

For the 9018M and 9018BMT robot soldering tools used in the QUICK ET9181 SEMI-AUTO with wire feeder, the 9594FYA and 9584EYA with two tables, the ET9494E and ET9494F-A and further models of the range. Where the joint sits deep, the same geometry is available as the extended QU911G-40D-07 at 4.0 x 1.5 mm, and one size down works the QU911G-30D-07 at 3.0 x 0.8 mm. Scope of delivery: one soldering tip.
