Dragging along a pin row depends on two things, contact width and solder reserve. The TSS08-1.8D01 provides a 1.8 mm edge and, at 5.5 mm, the longest tinned length of all slim shapes in the range, so the reservoir lasts across several pins.

• Pointed chisel, the blade narrows towards the front, giving broad support at the shank and a slim entry at the pin.
• Blade 1.8 mm wide at 0.7 mm thick, more contact area than the 1.6 mm versions with the same access.
• Tinning over 5.5 mm, the largest reserve among the slim shapes, so less reloading during drag soldering.
• Slim extended neck lets the blade reach joints between tall parts and in recesses.
• Thermocouple in the cartridge and a chip holding the calibration value keep the station reading valid after a tip change.

For drag soldering QFP and SOIC rows, rework on headers and connectors, and joints located between components already fitted. The tip fits the QUELKTSS80A iron of the Quick TS8 and TS8+ stations. Supplied as one cartridge tip without iron or station.
