A desoldering station is more than a controlled heater. It has to bring temperature and vacuum together at the right moment, and on the Quick TV2 that logic sits on the main board. Once the board is dead, an intact 200 W heater is of little help because the pump no longer starts on cue.
What it does
- Runs heater and vacuum pump together so the solder is still liquid when suction starts.
- Carries the operation through the LCD with touch input including the three storable temperature profiles.
- Keeps the calibration function that brings the displayed value back in line with the real tip temperature after long service.
- Genuine Quick part, so ESD design, auto standby and shutdown behave as delivered from the factory.
