Large contact faces call for width, tight spaces call for a flat blade, and needing both at once is the reason this variant exists. The TSS10B-10D-01 keeps the 10 mm working width and takes the blade thickness down to 3.0 mm, in the 300 W class for the QUICK TS10.

What the geometry does

• Blade width of 10 mm gives area contact on large pads, sheet metal and heavy traces.
• Blade thickness of 3.0 mm instead of 3.5 mm lets the flatter edge reach between closer terminals and into recessed contacts.
• 300 W rating of the TSS10 range for joints with a high heat demand.
• Tip and heater form one direct unit, on the TS10 about 3 seconds to 300 degrees Celsius are reached on a 1.6 mm tip.
• Thermocouple in the tip puts the control loop where the heat is actually being drawn.
• Cartridge chip with the individual calibration value returns the corrected temperature reading after a change.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Suited to production, workshop, service and rework on heat hungry assemblies, to connectors, cable lugs, stranded wire, contact tabs and boards with large copper areas. Where heat reserve matters more than a flat blade, the same series carries the 3.5 mm version. For small pads and delicate SMD joints, narrower shapes are the better pick. Supplied as a single cartridge tip without an iron, from the TSS10 range for the QUICK TS10 station.
