Not every large joint lies flat under the tool axis, think of upright solder tags or terminals mounted at an angle. The angled chisel face of this 8.0 mm tip presents its contact area at a slope and therefore still lands with full contact.

Why it works

• Blade width 8.0 mm with a bevel, the bearing surface adapts to joints that sit at an angle.
• Blade thickness 1.4 mm, slightly slimmer than the flat 8.0 mm shape and therefore usable closer to neighbouring parts.
• The slope enlarges the wetted area compared with an edge and speeds up heat transfer.
• Straight design, the angle sits in the blade and not in the shaft, so tool length stays unchanged.
• QU911G cartridge format, the same holder as the other shapes of the series.

Application and compatibility

Meant for upright solder tags, terminals reached at a slant and large joints the tool cannot approach vertically. Fits the 9018M and 9018BMT soldering robot tools and therefore the ET9181, 9594FYA, ET9494E, 9584EYA and ET9494F-A robots plus further models of the range. Supplied as a single tip.
