Sea water, salt air and changing media wear out a hydraulic coupling faster than pressure alone. The S210 Cupla is made of SUS304 stainless steel and still reaches 20.6 MPa working pressure thanks to its inner seal mechanism, the same level as special steel bodied couplings.

• Working pressure of 20.6 MPa in port sizes 1/4 inch to 1 inch, achieved by the inner seal mechanism despite the stainless steel body.
• SUS304 stainless steel body with high corrosion resistance, made for tough conditions such as ocean development.
• Safety lock against accidental disconnection, engaged by pushing the sleeve stopper and turning it 90 degrees, which holds the connection under vibration and impact.
• Automatic shut-off valves in both socket and plug prevent fluid outflow on disconnection.
• Minimum cross-sectional area from 24 mm2 on S210-2SP up to 233 mm2 on S210-8SP, and once coupled the fluid may flow in either direction.
• Fluoro rubber FKM as the standard seal for -20 °C to +180 °C, nitrile rubber NBR for -20 °C to +80 °C as a made-to-order item, released for water, air, hydraulic oil and gas.
• A dust cap is supplied with the product and keeps the connecting face clean between uses.

Series comparison

Choose S210 CUPLA when a line at 20.6 MPa {210 kgf/cm2} runs in a corrosive environment such as ocean development; 210 CUPLA and HYPER HSP CUPLA are rated at the same pressure and HSP CUPLA covers 14.0 to 20.6 MPa, and the argument for S210 CUPLA within that group is its SUS304 body together with the safety lock against vibration and impact. If the line calls for more pressure, the choice moves on to HSU CUPLA at 21.0 MPa, 280 CUPLA at 27.5 to 31.5 MPa, 350 CUPLA at 34.5 MPa, 450B CUPLA at 44.1 MPa or 700R CUPLA at 68.6 MPa, all of them two-way shut-off as well. For water, hydraulic oil or gas at 20.6 MPa the series covers 1/4 inch to 1 inch with FKM or NBR seals.

Compatibility

Different sizes are not interchangeable, so a coupling always consists of a socket and a plug of the same size.
