Toothed union nuts on pipelines cannot be gripped properly with an open-ended spanner or a socket. The Crowring spanner No. 440S engages the MJ27 nut on the DN18 pipe with straight cylindrical involute toothing to EN 4108 and is slipped over the line from the side. It is driven through its 3/8 inch square drive by a ratchet or torque wrench, with a height of only 10 mm (dimension a).

Applications
