On engines and power units, fittings are often positioned so that no socket can be applied axially. The Crowring spanner No. 440a is slipped onto the 5/8 inch nut from the side and driven through its 3/8 inch square drive by a ratchet or torque wrench. Stahlwille specifies it for the Volvo aircraft engine type JAS. With a length of 36.5 mm and dimension a of 17.5 mm it stays manageable in tight spaces.

Applications
