Quick connect coupling Super Cupla 02SCL-6, steel - Nitto Kohki 465126600

When the coupling hangs straight off the air tool, every gram is carried by the operator. The Nitto Kohki Super Cupla is built light for that job, with an aluminium body on part of the range, and works up to 1.0 MPa with a 19.5 mm sleeve diameter.

• Working pressure up to 1.0 MPa with a sleeve outer diameter of 19.5 mm, a plug weighs 12 g to 34.5 g depending on the version
• Lightweight design for direct mounting on power tools, part of the range uses an aluminium body

Series comparison

SUPER CUPLA suits air piping up to 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} where the coupling hangs directly on a power tool and weight matters: the 19.5 mm outside diameter sleeve, the steel or aluminum alloy body and one hand push-to-connect are its argument against COMPACT CUPLA and CUBE CUPLA, which are two-way shut-off at the same 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} and are chosen when the line has to close on both sides. Its end configurations cover hose barb, urethane hose, threads and Tube Fitters in 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch, and model 02S20P lets it work against HI CUPLA sockets. For air lines rated 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2}, HI CUPLA, HI CUPLA 200, FULL BLOW CUPLA or LINE CUPLA 200 are the correct range, and fluids other than air fall outside the air-only rating of SUPER CUPLA.

Compatibility

Any socket and plug in the range connect with each other regardless of size and end configuration, and the range also mates with Mold Cupla models K01SP, K02SP and K03SP. Model 02S20P acts as a conversion to sockets of HI Cupla models 10, 17, 20, 30 and 40. The range is not suitable for vacuum in either the connected or the disconnected state.

Standards and compliance

Threaded ends are 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch with maximum tightening torques of 7 Nm and 14 Nm, the body is chrome-plated steel or aluminium, the tube fitter version is nickel-plated brass, the sealing material is nitrile rubber (NBR, marked SG).

Safety and application notes

• Before use, please be sure to read "Safety Guide" described at the end of this book and "Instruction Sheet" that comes with the products.
• To mount on urethane hose, slide it over to the hose barb and tighten the nut until it is flush against the hose barb base.
• It is recommended that grease GRE-M1 is applied to the inside of the nut (threaded part and hose contact part) for easy tightening.
