The Nitto Kohki Super Cupla is a low-pressure quick-release coupling in steel with NBR seals for operating pressures up to 19 bar, and one of the most widely used coupling series in the Nitto Kohki range. The range covers plugs (0xP) and sockets (0xS) in two nominal sizes (01 and 02), with connections including G external thread (H), G internal thread (N, F), metric (M), and direct hose fittings for 6 mm and 8 mm (PC, PCL, SCB). The series is structurally compatible with the Small Cupla and offers a broad range of thread connection options.

SUPER CUPLA suits air piping up to 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} where the coupling hangs directly on a power tool and weight matters: the 19.5 mm outside diameter sleeve, the steel or aluminum alloy body and one hand push-to-connect are its argument against COMPACT CUPLA and CUBE CUPLA, which are two-way shut-off at the same 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} and are chosen when the line has to close on both sides. Its end configurations cover hose barb, urethane hose, threads and Tube Fitters in 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch, and model 02S20P lets it work against HI CUPLA sockets. For air lines rated 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2}, HI CUPLA, HI CUPLA 200, FULL BLOW CUPLA or LINE CUPLA 200 are the correct range, and fluids other than air fall outside the air-only rating of SUPER CUPLA.

Interchangeability and size groups
Sockets and plugs can be connected regardless of end configurations and sizes. Interchangeable with MOLD CUPLA (Models K-01P, K-02SP, K-03SP and K-90SN are named on the page). Sockets of HI CUPLA models 10, 17, 20, 30, 40, and 60 can be connected when 02S20P is used.
Safety and application notes
Before use, please be sure to read "Safety Guide" described at the end of this book and "Instruction Sheet" that comes with the products.
To mount on urethane hose, slide it over to the hose barb and tighten the nut until it is flush against the hose barb base.
It is recommended that grease GRE-M1 is applied to the inside of the nut (threaded part and hose contact part) for easy tightening.
