Kapton solder masking tape polyimide 9 mm x 33 m up to 300 °C - PPI 701/9 MM

Selective masking before wave soldering, reflow or conformal coating: this Kapton polyimide masking tape covers contact pads, connectors and test points while withstanding process temperatures up to 300 °C. Total thickness including adhesive is only 0.055 mm, so the tape lies flat even on fine pitch layouts.

Applications

Masking gold contacts, connector strips, test points and holes before wave soldering. Also used for masking during conformal coating, for fixing wires inside assemblies and as heat resistant insulation during repair and rework.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

Delivered as one roll of polyimide tape, 9 mm wide and 33 m long. The tape belongs to the PPI 701 series, which is available in further widths from 9 to 28 mm so the right width can be combined for every masking task.
