The lead of a soldering iron always kinks at the same place, right where it leaves the handle. The bend protection sleeve with 7.2 mm inner diameter supports that transition on irons with the thicker cable and keeps the bending radius in a range where the conductors survive.

Applications

Maintenance of soldering and desoldering stations with mains irons of the Magnastat range and with desoldering irons that are put down many times per shift. On the desoldering irons DS 22 and DS 80 the vacuum hose runs next to the lead, so mechanical load at the handle outlet is correspondingly high.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The sleeve is supplied in the manufacturer packaging unit, the number of pieces per unit is not stated by the supplier. Connection lead, plug and handle are not included. For thinner cables Weller offers the 6.2 mm version.
