Conductive packaging is called for when the part also has to be protected from electrostatic fields in the surroundings. Carbostat film is permanently volume-conductive, typical bleeder resistance 10^4 - 10^5 Ohm. At 100 mm lay-flat width the 500 m roll yields bags for individual components, connectors and narrow assemblies.

Inside the EPA the film serves bags made up on the spot, interim storage of sensitive components and shipments to subcontractors. Where only the packaging charging up is at stake, dissipative film will do.
