Residual moisture inside a sealed barrier bag causes corrosion during storage and delamination during later soldering. This dust-tight bag made of type B natron kraft paper absorbs it without shedding particles. It holds 1/2 unit (18 g) of desiccant.

Application

Inside the EPA the bag is placed next to the device in the moisture barrier bag before that bag is heat sealed. It is usually combined with a humidity indicator card that can be read on opening. The dose follows the bag volume, the range covers 1/6 unit up to 2 units.

Natron kraft paper is less tear-resistant than the non-woven version of the same range, for goods with sharp edges the non-woven bag is better.
