Soft-start module for brushless electric screwdrivers, 0 to 9.9 s - Kilews KL-SSBN

If the driver starts at full speed, the screw cants in the thread and rework begins. The KL-SSBN puts an adjustable ramp of 0 to 9.9 seconds in front of that and runs in at 30 to 100 percent of the speed until the thread engages.

What the module delivers

• Ramp time adjustable from 0 to 9.9 seconds to suit screw length and material.
• Start-up speed from 30 to 100 percent, so soft plastic threads are not stripped.
• Signal outputs for forward, reverse and torque shut-off, usable for counters and process monitoring.
• Installed between screwdriver and power supply without any change to the existing tool.
• Intended for brushless screwdrivers of the SKD-BN200, SKD-BN500, SKD-RBN, SKD-TBN and SKD-TBK series.

Applications

Assembly lines with soft or thin-walled threads, plastic joints, workstations under high unit-count pressure and screwdriving stations whose counter evaluates the shut-off signals of the tool.

Compatibility

The module is fitted between screwdriver and power supply and works with the brushless SKD-BN200 and SKD-BN500 series as well as SKD-RBN, SKD-TBN and SKD-TBK. The property table does not list the module as ESD compliant.
