A merely dissipative bag does not keep external electrostatic fields away from its contents. The Highshield Type A bag uses a Metal-In construction and passes less than 25 nJoule through in the shielding test, at 508 x 609 mm for larger boards and assemblies.

Benefits

• Metal-In layup with conductive polyester outside and conductive polyethylene inside, separated by an aluminium vapour deposited layer.

• Weldable, so the bag can be sealed tight for shipping and longer storage.
• Standard imprint with type designation, ESD marking and recycle symbol, production date in MMYYYY format embossed into the weld seam.

Application

The bag is used wherever ESD sensitive goods leave the EPA, for instance when shipping boards, storing spare parts or handling service returns. Inside the EPA it serves as shielding outer packaging.
