Moisture sensitive devices must not absorb humidity before reflow soldering. The Dry-Shield JEDEC bag is the matching enclosure, its multilayer of nylon, aluminium and polyethylene maintains a defined water vapour permeability and complies with JEDEC-STD-033 B. It also provides electrostatic shielding, with the transmitted energy staying below 10 nJ in the energy test.

Dry packing of SMD components, modules and populated boards in electronics manufacturing, plus shipping and long term storage outside the EPA. The 406 x 660 mm bag is filled, evacuated if required and welded shut, and the printed moisture symbol identifies the dry pack in the warehouse.
