Workpieces are rarely plane parallel, and a rigid jaw then only grips along one edge. The 42 44 280 welding grip pliers have movable jaws that follow the shape of the part while clamping and therefore grip with compensation. This way they hold bulky workpieces and sections with webs up to 40 mm at a square clamping capacity of 90 mm.
