Robot soldering head 160 W with wire feeder and tip cleaner - JBC HM245-5A

In a soldering cell the yield depends on how well tool, wire feed and tip cleaning work together. The HM245-5A supplies all three as one matched soldering head for general electronics work, with 160 W of heating power at 21 V and a working range of 90 to 450 °C.

What defines this head

• TR245 soldering tool with a cartridge centring system that seats the R245 cartridge exactly during a manual change.
• SFR Solder Feeder for wire from 0.5 to 1.5 mm, with feed lengths of 0.5 to 250 mm and speeds of 0.5 to 120 mm/s.
• Perforated solder wire in the feeder improves flux flow and outgassing, so no solder spatters at the joint.
• CLRP Tip Cleaner clears the tip in one second and keeps heat transfer stable across the whole shift.
• Remote control of the UCR control unit by robot, PC or PLC over the JBC RS232 communication protocol.
• ESD safe design as stated by the manufacturer, suitable for workstations inside an EPA.

Scope of delivery and compatibility

The head comprises the TR245 soldering tool, the SFR Solder Feeder and the CLRP Tip Cleaner. R245 cartridges and the GSFR guide set are not included and are ordered separately to suit wire diameter and joint. Control is handled by a UCR control unit of the 245 series.
